OUR STORY

Inspired by the talented students of the Genesis Center, the dishes at CHOP honor traditional techniques while embracing  contemporary innovation. Our culinary team, assisted by aspiring chefs from our Chef Training Program, serves up memorable  meals that draw from a world of experience and creativity. 

MISSION & VISION

At CHOP, the diversity of our students is a cornerstone of our menu. Our dishes reflect the techniques, recipes, and cultures our students bring from around the world. This blend of global and local influences adds unique flavors and perspectives to our offerings, making each meal a true representation of our community.

For over 40 years, the Genesis Center has helped tens of thousands improve their English, gain employment, and achieve economic independence. Culinary Arts was the Genesis Center’s first job training program, and for three decades, it has been nourishing culinary dreams and transforming aspiring chefs into industry professionals. 

MEET THE TEAM

Our team consists of experienced chefs, enthusiastic students from the Genesis Center, and a dedicated support staff, all  working together to create an exceptional dining experience.

Executive Chef

As a culinary professional, Chef Joshua Riazi spearheaded the CHOP concept to enhance the financial sustainability of our culinary training program. His vision and leadership are instrumental in developing CHOP into a thriving hub that supports both culinary education and the local community.
